Continuity of Care

Midwives provide care throughout pregnancy, labour, birth, and the first six weeks following birth. Midwives are available to clients 24 hours a day.

Informed Choice

Clients are active decision-makers in the care they receive; midwives give information to help clients make informed decisions.

Choice of Birthplace

Midwifery clients may choose to give birth safely at home, in a birth centre or in hospital. Midwives have hospital privileges in Ontario hospitals.

About Us

We are highly experienced in pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care. We work collaboratively with other health professionals to ensure that each woman has the best possible experience during pregnancy and childbirth.

“The practice of midwifery is the assessment and monitoring of women during pregnancy, labour, and the post-partum period and of their newborn babies, the provision of care during normal pregnancy, labour, and post-partum period, and the conducting of spontaneous normal vaginal deliveries.”
